Announcements

Brief parish announcements may be made at this time.

The Greeting and Blessing

The priest greets the people and blesses them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. We make the Sign of the Cross and respond “Amen.”

The Dismissal

The deacon or priest sends us out, for example: “Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.” We respond: “Thanks be to God.”

Sent on mission

The word Mass comes from the Latin missa, “sent”. Strengthened by the Word and the Eucharist, we go out to bring Christ to our families, workplaces and communities.
