Caritas Zimbabwe – Diocese of Masvingo is a development arm of the Catholic Church that is committed to address the spiritual, physical, socio-economic and intellectual needs of the communities in Masvingo Diocese through relief and recovery processes that lead to sustainable development. Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, Caritas also advocates for positive social change in accordance with the principle that ‘God is love’

Currently, the Commission is running four projects namely UKAM Project, Sustainable Agriculture Project; Gender and Climate Change Mitigation, and the ElNino Preparedness Project operating in Zaka, Chivi, Gutu, Bikita and Beitbridge Districts. Through the projects, the Commission is targeting to improve the farming system of communities through provision of multi-water use schemes (weirs and solarised boreholes). The projects also promote hygiene, gender inclusivity, disability rights and social inclusion.
