Historical Background

St Mary’s Eben primary school is a Catholic and mixed primary school situated 18 km from Gutu town along Gutu-Roy Road. From Mukaro mission turn off junction the school is 8km due west. St Mary’s Eben is situated in Eben farm South West of Mukaro central primary school. The school was established in 1953 with sub-A to standard 3 under the leadership of Mr R. Ruvando. 

In 1969 Grades 1 to 5 were introduced. The school was established to help learners from walking long distance to Mukaro central primary school. In 1980 Grades 6and 7 were introduced at the school. Current enrolment is 197.Learners come from nearby villages and resettlements
